Chili Peppers
I roast the chili peppers on the grill, then chop them in the
processor with lots of garlic, olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
This I use with black beans as dip for crackers and
I also like to mix it in with chicken and serve on rice.
These chili peppers are the main ingredient in my Hot Sauces.
One of my favorite tropical type hot sauce is:
Flaming Fruit Sauce
1 cup peeled chopped mangoe
1 kiwi, peeled and chopped
about six roasted chili peppers
2T. sugar
2tsp.ginger
2tsp salt
1tsp black cumin
1/2 cup lemon juice
Blend it all together and pour into jar
It's great on fish.

Pineapple Mint
I started with one little 79 cent plant last summer, and now
it grows here there and everywhere. It loves the sun, so it
makes a nice scented ground cover, great for our hot
Florida summer. Any mint makes a very refreshing
summertime tea, because it will cool you from the inside out.
Mint also is antiseptic, so a pot of tea will clean your
whole kitchen, floors walls and woodwork, makes it
smell great and
it's invigorating. Any cleaning products
do that for you?
In a pinch, if you have a fever, mint tea
will relieve it almost instantly.
To make my favorite tea, grab a hand full of lemon grass,
tie it into a knot, to save room in the pot, the lemon grass
grows a couple of feet tall. I add a hand full of fresh cut
pineapple mint and a few slices of fresh ginger optional.
All this goes into a medium pot of water, bring to boil,
turn down and let it slow boil as long as you want, the
aroma fills your home with an uplifting lemony scent,
you may want to enjoy the aroma for a couple of hours,
it's absolutely so very wonderful. Drain into a gallon
container, add about 1/4 to 1/2 cup sugar
then fill with water, to make a gallon.
Enjoy it hot or cold.
